11 years ago, a hole opened up in Shinjuku known as the 「魔界孔」, causing strange crystals to appear with it. At the same time this incident happened, people began to manifest various strange abilities due to the influence of these ‘B crystals’, giving rise to their ‘B power’. The rest of the world became fearful of what happened to Japan and left the entire country in isolation, with the nation suddenly embroiled in violence and chaos until four groups appeared and created a semblance of order by carving out and creating their own territories from Japan’s ruined civilization. Similarly, the group 『学生連合』 was created in order to manage the entire nation as well as the four groups and the independents inhabiting it, in an attempt to create a new civilization.

Breath of Fire IV

Like previous games in the series, Breath of Fire IV takes place in a fantasy world inspired by both classical European and Japanese folklore. A number of races resembling humans and anthropomorphic animals populate the land, which carries a predominate medieval and sword and sorcery theme. The world itself is divided into two distinct cultural halves: the Western Fou Empire, modeled after feudal China and East Asia, and the Eastern Kingdoms, with areas resembling both Medieval Europe and Arabia. While both cultures remain at an uneasy alliance following years of turbulent war, the actions of several military officials threaten to once again pull the world apart. Watching over humanity are the Endless, immortal godlike beings who take the form of dragons and control the elements that sustain the world. Much of the plot deals with the central characters' interaction with the people and Endless who inhabit the world. Throughout the game the player will play as Ryu and occasionally play as the game's antagonist Fou-Lu. Fou-Lu is the first Emperor of the Fou Empire and is referred to as a god Emperor. He seeks to rule the world as a god, however, he needs Ryu to accomplish his goal.

Breath of Fire III

Breath of Fire III is set in a fantasy environment resembling Medieval Europe with several storytelling liberties such as advanced technology. Populated by both humans and anthopomorphized animals, the world is experiencing several scientific advancements thanks to the discovery of chrysm, a rare mineral with magical properties found on the fossilized remains of dragons. While higher forms of technology such as robots and complex machines do exist, their origin is largely unknown, with most of the objects in question washing ashore on various beaches around the world. Much of the game's plot involves finding the truth about this mysterious technology, as well as solving the mystery of the disappearance of the dragons centuries ago.

Max Taylor is the son of paleontologist Dr. Spike Taylor. After falling out of bed early in the morning and seeing a meteor falling in the sky, Max sets out into a forest where it crashes with his friends Rex Owen and Zoe Drake. They find a lightning, wind and grass stone. Chomp is accidentally activated when Max rubs the card on the stone. The D-Team meet their new enemies in the Alpha Gang when they come to catch it. The result was that the D-Team and Alpha Gang often clashed for possession of dinosaurs that are activated.

Grandia II
|
|
Grandia II's story focuses around Ryudo, a sarcastic "Geohound" (mercenaries who take undesirable jobs). He receives a mission to guard a sister of Granas, Elena, during a rite to reseal an ancient evil god. However, the rite runs into difficulties, leading to a much longer quest to escort Elena across the continent to meet Pope Zera, leader of the Church of Granas. The failed sealing attempt is also tied into the emergence of a strange woman known as Millenia, and a series of disturbing events at towns along the way to the Granas Cathedral. This sequel used a new, fully 3D engine to seamlessly render landscapes and battle scenes. The core battle system functionality stayed the same between Grandia and Grandia II, although it became impossible to Cancel an action merely with normal attacks. The magic system was also changed, whereby magical eggs (usable by any character) were used to cast magic rather than having spells linked directly to each character. The game was well-received both critically (the story and character development being the most prominent features) and among the fans, and was considered one of the premier games to appear on the ill-fated Sega Dreamcast. Considering the Dreamcast's fairly small market penetration, the game was ported to both the PC and the Playstation 2.

Grandia's story focuses around Justin, a young boy who desires to be a great adventurer. While investigating a ruin of the lost Angelounian Civilization, he hears a mysterious request to come east and find out the secret of why these ancients mysteriously disappeared. The resulting adventure takes Justin across the sea to new continents, and even beyond the known end of the world. Graphically, the game used character sprites in a 3D world, rather than polygonal character models that later came to favor. The battle system, like Game Arts' Lunar series before it, placed emphasis on the combatants' location in the field. However, while Lunar only allowed you to set the team's position in battle, Grandia had characters move to appropriate positions during battle and allowed the player to have them move elsewhere to avoid attacks or reach a more advantageous position. Also notable was how characters could counter or disrupt enemy attacks, leading to a very interactive experience. A port of Grandia to the PlayStation was made in 1999, and had only aesthetic changes.

The story revolves around three sisters, Ai (the eldest), Mai (the middle child), and Mii (the youngest), their maid, Mea, and a white ferret named Unagi, as they travel through time in a mansion running a Christmas shop and searching for a flower called "popotan" which resembles a dandelion. Although the story follows these three sisters, the anime alludes to the fact that others have attempted to make similar journeys in the past. This, however is the only glimps into the past and relations with the characters is never revealed leaving mysteries as to how and why Shizaku, Keith and Mea are associated. While the sisters eventually meet Shizaku, the story ends with a continuation of them traveling in the mansion leaving an unanswered questions as to their final destionation, if any, nor why they were chosen. Their bodies are connected to the mansion where they live, which is also the vehicle that allows them to travel through time. When they are outside the mansion, their bodies cease to age, to the point where even their hair stops growing. Every time they travel through time in their mansion, they jump five years into the future and, with one exception, never ends up in the same place. The one exception is when the party is split, presumably because it needed everyone together. As they travel through time, meet and leave friends they make, they are given a descion to determine whether they will stay in the era they like most or continue on their journey together.

Fushigi Boshi no Futago Hime

Seven royal families reign over each of the seven kingdoms, prospering inside the planet for a long time. However, Ohisama no Megumi or the internal star is beginning to die, and it has been forecast that it will disappear in one year. If it disappears, all of the planet will be covered in darkness. Twin princesses Fine and Rein receive a secret mission from Grace to investigate the reason for the star's decline. Using the power of the Prominence, they can hope to rescue the Ohisama no Megumi. Later in their investigation, an evil chancellor named Roman becomes so interested in the power of the Prominence that he steals the Prominence for his purposes. After he unleashes the ultimate enemy, evil begins to spread.
The evil power possesses Prince Bright. Under evil power, he attempts to rule the entire Fushigi-boshi. Fine and Rein, along with other people, try to investigate and defeat the powers of evil that possessed Bright.
Twin Princesses of the Wonder Planet (ふしぎ星の☆ふたご姫, Fushigi-boshi no Futago-hime?) is a Japanese magical girl anime series about the adventures of twin princesses in Fushigi-boshi, a mysterious planet shaped like a hollow earth. It is based on a concept by "Birthday"" and produced by Nihon Ad Systems and TV Tokyo. It is directed by Jun'ichi Sato who directed the first series of Sailor Moon. Fushigi-boshi no Futago-hime originally aired on April 2005.[1] A sequel titled Fushigiboshi no Futagohime Gyu! began airing in April 2006 and ended on March 31, 2007.
